24.04.2015. ARMENIAN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION CEREMONY

On April 24, 2015 hundreds of thousands of Armenians and foreigners silently walked to the hill of Tsitsernagabert to commemorate the 1.5 million Armenians slaughtered by Ottoman Turks in the 1915-1923 Armenian Genocids. Official ceremonies at the hilltop Genocide Memorial at Tsitsernakaberd in Yerevan hosted by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan were being attended by numerous foreign delegations and world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande, the President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić and the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, senior government representatives and lawmakers of other countries.
The event going on at Tsitsernakaberd was broadcasted live by many leading world TV channels. Over one billion people watched it on TV.
