Fundamental Armenology follows the Committee on Publication Ethics guidelines for publications ethics and malpractice issues.
Author duties
Authors shallsubmit only original work, appropriately cite or quote the work of others and shall not violate any third party’s rights. Authors shall not submit manuscripts that are parallelly submitted to other journals.
Authors shall accurately represent authorship, including only those who made a significant contribution to the research and writing.
Authors shall present accurate and correct data, report reliable results.
Authors shall disclose potential conflicts of interest and any financial support received.
Authors shallnotify the editor if significant errors in their published work are identified and cooperate in issuing retractions or corrections.
Editor duties
Editors are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the scholarly process, promoting ethical standards, and preventing malpractice.
Editors shall evaluate submissions solely on their academic merit, relevance, originality, irrespective of the author’s gender, ethnicity, nationality, or political beliefs.
Editors shall maintain confidentiality regarding all submissions, disclosing information only to those involved in the publishing process. Editors shall not disclose authors’ and reviewer’s data for each other.
Editors shall make decisions on publication based on the journal’s policies, peer review feedback, and legal requirements.
Reviewer duties
Reviewer shall treat manuscripts as confidential documents, not disclosing or discussing them outside the peer-review process.
Reviewer shallprovide objective and constructive feedback without personal criticism or bias.
Reviewer shall complete the review within the agreed timeframe and notify the editor of any delays.
Reviewer shall inform the editor about any doubt concerning possible plagiarism, authorship, or data forgery.
Handling Misconduct
The Editorial board of the journal shall conduct a fair and transparent investigation when ethical concerns arise. In case of misconduct the Editorial team shall take actions, including rejection, retraction, or banning future submissions.
The journal shall ensure a transparent process for handling disputes, including allowing authors to appeal editorial decisions and addressing complaints promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
Plagiarism check
Plagiarism in all its forms is an unethical behavior and is unacceptable. The Editorial board shall make its best efforts to exclude plagiarism. All submissions shall undergo initial plagiarism screening.
